Below are money saving strategies (and studio secrets!) that will increase efficiency while in the studio, intended for both the novice and seasoned musician.

1. Write At Home, Record In Session. If you're looking to save yourself some time (read: money), write before you get to the studio. Know your song structure, arrangement, and lyrics. The more you "map" out your song, the easier and faster the recording process will be.

2. Practice Makes Perfect. The more time you spend practicing your music, the easier it will be to record it. Being confident in your playing will help you relax.

3. Lego My Demo. Demoing your songs (i.e., in Garageband or on cassette, etc.) will do wonders for the finished product. Consider the demo to be a a building block or a blueprint for your song. This helps you hear your music in a new way and communicate your vision to others.
